Community Service Recognition: Kristin Wook

In January, SAVMA celebrated volunteerism at the 2020 SAVMA Awards, a volunteer recognition event for all of Southern Arizona. Organizations were invited to nominate individuals for a Community Service Recognition in honor of their exceptional giving and spirit of service. Throughout the month of April, we will be highlighting these individuals and their nomination as part of VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION MONTH!

Kristin Wook

Summer Camp Intern at The Children’s Museum

From the nominator, Vanessa King:

“Kristin worked alongside our camp staff to ensure our camps were engaging and fun. She helped with camp set up and prep, facilitated activities, crafts, and demos, and engaged campers in the Museum galleries. In addition to camp, she helped our education specialist during WeeExplore to prepare and implement interactive science experiments and hands on science activities. She also ensured the behind the scenes prep happened in order for activities and art projects to succeed. Her rapport with both the children and the staff have made her beloved at the Children’s Museum!”
