2025 Days of Caring Schedule

The United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona has released the 2025 Days of Caring schedule. SAVMA stands ready to support our Volunteer Engagement Professionals through Arizona’s largest volunteer event. So block your organizational calendars for Thursday, October 24th & Friday, October 25th, 2025.

IMPORTANT DATES:

PROJECT SUBMISSIONS (Local nonprofits, schools, and community groups)
Opens: June 2nd
Early Bird Deadline ($500 stipend eligibility): July 11th
Final Deadline: August 22nd

AGENCY MARKETING TOOLKIT
Available: August 25th

SPONSOR PROJECT SELECTION
September 2nd – 5th

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
Opens to the public: September 8th
Closes: October 17th

Do you need project ideas? Come chat up your peers at the June 26th mixer! Perhaps a joint project with another organization? Consider successful projects from years past or connecting with corporate volunteerism experts. We have a few amongst our SAVMA members. Just ask!

What Impact Looks Like

Last year, more than 1,600 volunteers completed 95 projects, giving back more than 4,800 hours of service across our region! The United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona can’t wait to build on that success and create even greater change this year. They cannot do it alone, they need SAVMA members to register their projects. Can we exceed the 2024 numbers? Can SAVMA have more registered projects?

FOR ORGANIZATIONS:

  • What are project submissions?
    • Submit volunteer project ideas like painting, landscaping, food sorting, donation drives, or reading to shelter pets!
  • Who can submit a project?
    • Nonprofits, public agencies, schools, and community-focused groups in Southern Arizona that register with United Way for this opportunity.
  • How does it work?
    • Submit projects online starting June 2nd.
    • Volunteers sign up for projects occurring on October 24th & 25th.
    • Submit by July 11th for a chance at a $500 early bird stipend (regular stipends: $100)!
  • Why should my organization submit a project?
    • Complete important projects with volunteer help.
    • Boost your organization’s visibility.
    • Build lasting community connections.
