Upcoming Events
- August 18, 2010 - At the August General Meeting we will be giving each attendee a chance to showcase what their organizaiton does. This is for two reasons: To know what types of volunteer opportunities are in the community so you can refer people you cannot use; and to learn which other organizations are similar in mission and in size. Bring promotional materials and be prepared to describe briefly the volunteer opportunities your organization has.
We want to have a program about how legal employment issues affect volunteers. Please bring ideas and concerns about this issue as it pertains to you, your organization and your volunteers. Some examples of risk might be around dismissing volunteers, driving volunteers or having volunteers drive clients, and sexual harassment to name a few potential issues.
- September 15, 2010 - General Meeting
